Electrical testing, repairs and installations
We're a team of qualified electricians covering Milton Keynes, Northampton, Bedford and Buckingham. Most of our work falls into two halves.
Testing and certification. EICR inspections for homeowners and buyers, landlord electrical safety certificates under the 2020 regulations, commercial fixed wire testing, and PAT testing for offices, shops, salons and furnished lets. We test thoroughly, code faults according to industry guidance and explain the results so you know exactly what's needed and what isn't.
Repairs and installations. Fault finding and repairs, from tripping RCDs to dead sockets, light fittings and chandeliers, cookers, hobs, showers and extractor fans, extra sockets, fuse board upgrades and smoke alarms. Small jobs are welcome.
The quickest way to get a price is to send a photo and a short description on WhatsApp.

Common questions
What is an EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report is an inspection and test of your fixed wiring: consumer unit, circuits, sockets, switches and lights. It records anything that doesn't meet BS 7671 and codes it by urgency. More about EICRs.
How long does an EICR take?
Two to three hours for most flats, three to four for a typical three-bedroom house. Larger or older properties take longer.
What do C1, C2, C3 and FI mean?
C1 is danger present, C2 is potentially dangerous, FI is further investigation needed, and C3 is improvement recommended. Any C1, C2 or FI makes the report unsatisfactory. Codes explained.
How often do landlords need an EICR?
At least every five years in England, or sooner if the report says so. Tenants must get a copy within 28 days.
Can you arrange access with my tenant?
Yes. Send us their details and we'll book a time directly and confirm it with you.
Do you PAT test landlord appliances?
Yes, usually on the same visit as the EICR, so there's only one appointment for the tenant.
Which areas do you cover?
Milton Keynes, Northampton, Bedford and Buckingham, and the towns and villages around them. See all areas.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. Single sockets, light fittings, tripping RCDs and similar small jobs are a big part of what we do.
How do I get a price?
